Established in 1947, Readers has been part of Island life for generations. Historically our roots started in manufacturing and product design, and today, we remain a family-owned business, bringing together furniture, fashion, homewares and food under one roof in the centre of Newport.

Across our two floors, you'll find a wide selection of furniture, sofas, beds, clothing, jewellery, accessories, homeware and gifts, with new and interesting things arriving throughout the year.
We're proud of the products we sell, the value we offer and, most importantly, the service we provide. As an independent family business, we believe in taking the time to get to know our customers, offering friendly advice and helping you find something that's right for you and your home.
We're always looking for something new to bring to the Island. That might be a new furniture collection, the latest seasonal clothing and footwear, a beautiful gift, something from a local maker, or simply an unusual piece we've fallen in love with ourselves.
Our furniture showroom offers a wide choice of sofas, dining and living furniture, bedroom furniture, beds and mattresses. You can try our sofas in person, explore different fabrics and take free fabric samples home. For Isle of Wight customers, delivery and professional assembly are free.
And there's always something changing in the rest of the store too. Our women's boutique receives new arrivals regularly, while our homeware and gift departments are filled with carefully selected pieces for your home and for those special occasions.
More recently, we’ve welcomed The Glassroof Café to Readers Interiors — a relaxed space to meet up with friends and family, whether it’s for a coffee and pastry, a leisurely breakfast or a long lunch. We love the idea that you can come to Readers for a browse, a shop, a coffee or simply to spend some time together.
